Hello, I’m Sheena Patel, a dedicated mother, qualified physiotherapist, and owner of Monkey Puzzle Streatham Common and West Norwood.

Becoming a mum inspired my passion for early years learning and led me to create a nurturing, inspiring environment where children can truly thrive. We are committed to giving every child the care, attention, and opportunities they deserve, just as I would want for my own.

Praised in our 2022 Ofsted report

Monkey Puzzle West Norwood’s most recent Ofsted report was published in April 2022, confirming that safeguarding standards were effective and children’s safety and wellbeing remain a top priority. The nursery achieved a Good rating across the four key areas of inspection, reflecting the high-quality care, learning and support provided by the team. Healthy Eating

As children grow, a healthy and balanced diet is key, and we inspire with a variety of colour, texture, and taste to expand their food experiences.

Seasonal and local produce are also important in helping children understand more about where food comes from and nutrition.

  • Part of an Award winning nursery group with over 15 years experience
  • Owners with experience and expertise in the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Monday to Friday, 8am-6pm
  • Highly stimulating and engaging nursery environment
  • Nutritious and varied menu devised by a nutritionist, all included in the fees
  • All main meals and snacks prepared on site
  • Branded Nappies (under 2’s only), wipes and formula milks included in the price
  • Modern security systems, including CCTV cameras
  • Amazing outside play area with impact absorbing safety surfacing

Extracurricular Classes

Monkey Puzzle West Norwood also offer extracurricular classes, at no extra cost, on certain days of the week which you can enrol your child into, including Spanish lessons, Multi Sports, and Whippersnappers

With temperatures expected to reach 35°C today, our air-conditioned nursery has been a welcome retreat for children and team members alike.

Alongside regular hydration, sun cream application and carefully planned outdoor play, our fully air-conditioned environment provides a comfortable space for children to learn, play and relax throughout the day.

Keeping children safe, happy and comfortable is always a priority, especially during periods of extreme heat.

One minute she’s climbing to the top of the frame.

The next she’s checking prices in our outdoor market, exploring the garden and helping to care for the vegetables she’s helped to grow.

That’s the beauty of early childhood.

Children don’t separate learning into subjects. They learn through movement, imagination, conversation, exploration and play.

Our outdoor environment has been designed to give children the freedom to follow their curiosity, make choices and discover new interests every day.

Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery West Norwood is conveniently located on Norwood Road, in the beautifully restored Old West Norwood Fire Station. Situated in the heart of West Norwood, the nursery is just a short walk from local shops, cafés, and amenities along the high street.

For your convenience, we are only a few minutes’ walk from West Norwood train station, with excellent transport links to central London and surrounding areas.
