Yesterday, our children celebrated Global Tiger Day, giving us the perfect opportunity to learn more about one of the world’s most fascinating animals.
Across our West Norwood nursery, every room explored the theme in their own way.
Some children couldn’t wait to create their own tiger pictures, while others loved learning new tiger facts, asking lots of questions and letting their imaginations run wild through role play and sensory play.
One of our favourite moments was listening to the children share what they already knew about tigers and watching their excitement as they discovered something new together. It’s amazing how one simple theme can spark so many conversations and ideas!
By following children’s interests, we create opportunities for them to explore, ask questions, be creative and develop a better understanding of the world around them, all through learning through play.
Every child explored the day in their own way, and that’s exactly how we believe learning should be. 💛

Learning doesn`t stop when term ends... it simply carries on at home! 🎶
One of the things we love about our weekly Spanish sessions is seeing the children`s confidence grow as they sing, play and learn together.
This summer, our wonderful friends at La Ola Spanish have created a playlist featuring many of the songs the children have been enjoying throughout the term, including greetings, colours, numbers and familiar Spanish vocabulary from all of this term`s topics, from pirates and crocodiles to fruit, sailors and Hawaiian adventures.
The best part? You don`t need to speak Spanish to join in.
Whether you`re singing along in the car, dancing in the kitchen or listening together at home, every little moment helps children build confidence and develop a love of language.
