We want to make sure we are offering you and your children the best possible Nursery experience. Therefore, we are always looking for ways to improve and develop what we offer here at Monkey Puzzle West Norwood.

With that in mind, we have listened to parents and are delighted to announce that we are going to be offering extra curricular activities. These will be at no extra cost, on certain days of the week which you can enrol your child into.

Our Timetable:

Monday

Beam Academy Body Energy & Mindfulness

Beam Academy hold yoga and mindful sessions in our nursery every Tuesday for our little ones. Yoga works for young children when each session feels lively and clear. They learn through short tasks, steady repetition, and active movement that fits their age and stage of development. Their yoga programme links with the EYFS through clear, structured activities that build core skills in a nursery setting.

Tuesday

La Ola Spanish Lessons

The power of language learning begins at an early age. At La Ola Spanish, we take children on an enchanting learning adventure from jungles to outer space. They become superheroes, magicians, astronauts and everything in between. Children learn best when they are having fun, and by combining imagination, movement and language. At La Ola our goal is that all our learners have lots of fun, as well as making lots of progress on their learning journey with us.

Patricia is the co-founder and director of La Ola Spanish. A native qualified teacher with previous experience in nurseries and schools.

Wednesday

MiniJam a Junior Academy for Music

Mini Jam offers fun and modern early-years education through music, every Wednesday at our nursery. Their classes are fun, interactive music and sensory experiences for our nursery children. They have pooled some of London’s top session musicians to create funky versions of nursery rhymes to jam along to.

Thursday

Marvin’s Mini Chefs

Cooking with children is a simple and meaningful way to support early development, linking closely to the Early Years Foundation Stage and the Curiosity Approach. Children can explore different tastes, investigate ingredients, measurements, and develop fine motor skills, sessions we explore every Thursday with our nursery children.

Friday

Green Gardeners

Gardening offers children a wide range of physical, emotional, cognitive, and social benefits, helping them grow healthier, more confident, and connected to nature. Toddlers can enjoy sensory exploration with soil, leaves, and water, while older children can take on more complex tasks like planting vegetables, maintaining garden beds, and observing plant growth over time
